Twelve Capital Event Update

29 August 2022

As we are now entering the peak of the hurricane season, there are a number of disturbances present on the Atlantic at the moment, but none are hurricanes yet.

There is an area of low pressure to the west of the Cayman Islands and another in the middle of the Atlantic, both of which have a low probability of turning into a tropical depression within the next five days.

There is a system developing in the central tropical Atlantic, ca. 1,500km east of Barbados that does look like it will form into a depression within the next few days. The current predictions of its path have a lot of uncertainty, but will be monitored closely as it develops over the course of the week.

Finally, there is a disturbance forming off of the west coast of Africa, which will be monitored should it develop further.

Twelve Capital continues to closely monitor any catastrophe events and will issue specific updates on any relevant new major events that occur.
