Twelve Capital Event Update – 12 October 2020

12 October 2020

Hurricane situation
On Friday 9 October at 7pm local time, Hurricane Delta made landfall near Lake Charles, Louisiana as a Category 2 hurricane. It brought winds in excess of 100mph as well as heavy rainfall and storm surge along the coast of Louisiana. Fortunately, its initial impact was at the uninhabited Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge, and its path did not take it through any major centres of population. Delta weakened to a tropical depression over western Mississippi on Saturday 10 October and has now dissipated.

On a single event basis Twelve Capital does not foresee any impact to the Twelve Capital funds, the latest RMS industry event estimates place it in the $1-2bn range.

No other relevant events have occurred during the past two weeks. Specific updates on any relevant new major events that occur will be provided.
